Longstanding experience abroad, his personal growth, and also setbacks, was useful to learn and to implement new concepts, which led him become a pioneer of the European golf scene. Franz Laimer never stood still in the now 25-years of his career. He always worked to improve on himself, tried to keep on learning and orientated on the best of the international level to offer his students the latest stage of development.
His unmistakable teaching methods, with the aim of showing the complex
motion of the golf swing simpler and to visualize this to his students
and to integrate it to the lessons, are parts of it.
This individual, made-to-measure training program bases on four
pillars: The grasping – the standing position – the upward circle – and
the downward circle.
A further invention, which supports the training sensible, is the
computer-swing-analysis, developed by Franz Laimer and a company from
Graz.
There the student gets filmed and life-sized projected on a screen.
This representation gets transformed graphically by the computer
program and commented by Franz Laimer or one of his golf teachers.
Afterwards the student gets it on a burnt CD with him.
Laimer distinguishes as pioneer of new teaching methods for learning how to play golf:
Group instruction is definitely a completely new teaching method. It
isn’t possible to be motivated for more than three hours, but the
necessary swing-automation doesn’t put in until 380 – 450 reputations.
Therefore Franz Laimer established the group instruction. The
participants motivate each other and between the correction lessons
they can put into practice what they’ve learned.
To make golf to an all-season-sport Franz Laimer was the first who
already founded a winter golf school at the “Parkhotel Seethurn” in
1980. Later he integrated this school into his own golf training
centre. The indoor construction of the golf centre is one of the best
and most modern Europe-wide. Since January 2006 this winter school also
exists in the sunny south, in Mallorca.
